The E-HS9 electric crossover from the Chinese manufacturer Hongqi is a luxury executive car with all-wheel drive. This car is designed for wealthy customers who hold high positions or have a successful business.
The E-HS9 was officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2020, but its concept, codenamed Hongqi E115, was showcased at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The exterior design of this electric SUV inspires grandeur and resembles Rolls-Royce models with a pretentious front end, a long hood and monumental forms.
The interior of the E-HS9 impresses with numerous screens, including three 16.2-inch monitors on the front panel and an additional touchscreen for the climate system. A three-spoke steering wheel adds to the comfort.
The dimensions of the car are impressive: length - 5209 mm, width - 2010 mm, height - 1713 mm, center distance - 3110 mm. Weight varies from 2512 to 2712 kg, depending on the configuration.
The salon has a three-row layout with comfortable front seats and various adjustment and heating options. The back row can be a three-seater sofa or two separate seats. Four massage chairs with ottomans are available for the VIP version.
The trunk has good volume, and the rear seats fold down to increase cargo space.
Technically, the E-HS9 is based on the FAW modular platform with a high-strength body. All-wheel drive options are equipped with two electric motors, providing output from 436 to 551 hp. and a range of 460 to 660 km depending on the battery. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 4.8 to 6.5 seconds, and top speed is limited to 200 km/h.
