We will not see the usual mode selector either, instead of it the buttons "forward", "back", "N", "P". As for the instrument panel, it is a mix of analog and virtual versions with a 7-inch screen. And the central position, as in the "simple" Cone, is an 8-inch touchscreen display multimedia system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An interesting fact is that the volume of the trunk of the car on electric traction exceeds the volume of the version with ICE - 373 liters against 361 liters (the reason - in the absence of a fuel tank).

From the point of view of power plants, the electro-Kona is offered in two versions. The engine version Lite produces 135 liters. from. and 395 Nm of torque. A lithium-polymer battery at 39.2 kWh can provide a power reserve of up to 312 km (via the WLTP cycle). The standard version is equipped with a 204-liter engine. from. and the same 395 Nm of torque. Battery capacity of 64 kWh provides up to 482 km of travel, and the first "hundred" car reaches 7.6 seconds (maximum speed - 167 km / h). Both batteries from a 100-kilowatt terminal at 80 percent can be charged in 54 minutes. But from a 7.2-kilowatt station the battery of a larger capacity needs to be charged 9 hours 35 minutes. The driver can control the intensity of recovery, choosing paddles from four options. As for driving comfort, then to ensure its high level the rear multi-link suspension is designed, both on expensive versions of Kona with ICE.
As well as it is necessary hi-tech-car, Kona Electric has modern systems of safety: adaptive cruise-control, system of automatic braking, the control of blind zones, the prevention at departure by a backing, system of deduction in a strip, front and back парктроники.
