Ilon Musk announced a significant increase in production of Tesla

Ilon Musk said that within the next 12 months, Tesla will release more than 500,000 electric vehicles and all of them will be ready for autonomous driving with the Full Self-Driving option.

To reach 500,000 in 12 months, Tesla must produce and sell at least 125,000 vehicles per quarter.

The increase in production from the current almost 300,000 to 500,000 cars requires an increase of about 67% year-on-year. Assuming that the production of the Model S and X will remain at about 100,000 units per year, the production of Model 3 should increase to 400,000 vehicles per year.

If Tesla manages to produce and sell 500,000 electric vehicles per year, this will significantly increase revenue thanks to the autonomous driving option, which sells for $ 5,000 for each model (and will increase to $ 8,000 from May 1), respectively, the brand profitability will also reach high levels.

Only 100,000 cars (20% of the planned) with the option of autonomous driving purchased, for example, for robotic taxi services will provide an income of $ 500 million.

If production growth and automation is achieved, Tesla should also have no problems in terms of business revenue before launching Tesla Model Y, which will provide another factor for the growth and development of the company.
