Nissan happily announced that cumulative sales of the Leaf model since its launch in 2010 exceeded 400,000 units.
Thus, Nissan Leaf has become the best-selling electric vehicle in the world, and the total mileage of Leaf models during this time was 10 billion kilometers, while fuel savings were 3.8 million barrels of oil per year.
In 2018, Nissan Leaf also became the best-selling electric car in Europe (more than 40 thousand units), and the best-selling car in general in Norway. At the moment, the model is collected on three continents, and sold in more than 50 markets around the world.
In its press release, Nissan notes that the company has undertaken to become the world leader in the production and promotion of cars with zero emissions of exhaust gases, and has also undertaken to develop recycling for used batteries.
