Demand for electric cars in Ukraine is constantly growing

For ten months since the beginning of the year, Ukrainians have acquired and registered 6,247 electric vehicles, Ukravtoprom reports.

Of this amount: passenger cars - 5789 units, commercial - 458 units. Thus, compared with the same period last year, the demand for electric cars in Ukraine increased by 37%, and for commercial ones - almost doubled.

The market for electric commercial vehicles continues to be formed mainly due to imported second-hand, the share of which amounted to 96 percent. And most of the registrations here fell on only two models: RENAULT Kangoo Z. E. - 420 pcs. (403 used and 17 new), NISSAN e-NV200 - 21 pcs. (20 used and 1 new).

In the electric car market, used cars also dominated. Of the 5789 cars registered since the beginning of the year, only 498 were new.

The most popular electric car among Ukrainians remains NISSAN Leaf. From January to October, 2763 bodice replenished the country's fleet.

In second place TESLA Model S, cars of this model from the beginning of the year were chosen by 489 motorists.

Also in the top five most popular cars with zero emissions are: BMW i3 - 297 units; VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf - 279 pcs.; FIAT 500e - 253 pcs.
