A large pickup with a double cabin and seating for six people will be one of the cheapest electric cars of the American brand.

The first electric pickup Tesla will cost less than 50 thousand dollars. InsedeEVs reports this with reference to the head of the American company Ilona Mask. Thus, the novelty can be one of the cheapest Tesla electric cars.

“You should be able to buy a really excellent pickup for 49 thousand dollars or even by paying a smaller amount,” said Musk.

It is expected that the novelty will be a large pickup with a double cabin and seating for six people. The car will receive a futuristic design in the style of cyberpunk. Already, as standard, the car will have two electric engines with "crazy torque" and four-wheel drive. The car will be able to drive about 650–800 kilometers without recharging the batteries.

The basic version of the car will receive an adaptive air suspension, which will automatically apply the optimal settings depending on the specific load. Also, the pickup will be available with Autopilot's proprietary semi-autonomous control system, fully automatic parallel parking function, as well as the all-round viewing system.

In March, Tesla introduced its new compact electric crossover called Model Y. Car prices start from 39,000 dollars. The crossover borrowed the existing chassis from the Tesla Model 3. The Tesla Model Y received two electric motors and is offered with battery packs of various capacities.

Tesla Motors, focused on the production of electric vehicles, was founded in 2003. Since 2008, it has been supplying the Tesla Roadster sports car to the market. In 2012, the company introduced the Model S sedan. The headquarters of the manufacturer is in Palo Alto, California. The company has more than two thousand people.
