Tesla Model 3 and Model Y will receive a completely "vegan" interior

Quite a long time ago, Tesla replaced the cover of all variants of seats in its electric vehicles with synthetic material of non-animal origin, making the cars as “vegan” as possible.

However, one element in electric vehicles is still exclusively from genuine leather - the steering wheel. Optionally, customers could order a steering wheel made of synthetic materials, but many simply did not know about this option and vegan customers had to drive in a car with a leather steering wheel.

And now Tesla has announced that Model Y and Model 3 will be completely vegan starting next year, including the material of the steering wheel.

After the request of the representative of the organization PETA to the company, the company assumed this obligation to remove the natural leather on the steering wheel in their electric vehicles.

Ilon Musk confirmed that at present Tesla has a ready-made steering wheel design without artificial leather, but also without heating, since it is more difficult to solve the problem with heated steering wheel than to replace it with a cover.
