Tesla will be able to independently identify the pits on the roads - the next update of the branded autopilot will bring important functions for driver and passenger comfort.

The founder of the company, Ilon Musk, officially announced on Twitter, in response to a subscriber’s question, that the next version of the autopilot will find new opportunities. They will be designed to improve the safety and comfort of not only the driver, but also his companions in the Tesla electric car.

The new features will include Tesla's self-maneuvering function according to the guidance of the navigation system - talking about the fact that the electric car will be able to drive at interchanges and move down to branches from the main highways. Now such maneuvers require driver control.

Another function will be Tesla's ability to independently identify pits on the road in front of the car in order to make a decision and go around irregularities, if such a maneuver can be performed without leaving your own lane. But when the new autopilot firmware comes out is unclear.
