The Honda e:NS1 is externally based on the e:Prototype concept car, and its overall lines still evoke the vibrant "soul of Honda". However, in addition to traditional design features, the e:NS1 also features many innovations. As a purely electric car, it has a closed front grille, and inside the grille and on the Honda logo, you can see the backlight creating the "Heart beat" function - the international language of light signals. This underlines not only its character as a new energy solution, but also becomes a new symbol for future models of the e:N range.
In terms of body colors, Dongfeng Honda provides the e:NS1 in five finishes: Nebula Blue, Flashy Yellow, Crimson Red, Crystal White and Crystal Black. With its bright colors and positioning as a small SUV, the e:NS1's target audience is mostly the younger generation, so Honda might consider adding a few extra colors.
Like an SUV, the e:NS1 is not without its surrounding bodywork. However, he chose the style of black glossy plastic, which makes it visually more refined. The design of the rims is multi-planar, including active resonance suppression technology to further reduce driving noise and improve the quality of the ride.
As for the rear of the e:NS1, the design is simple and straightforward. Horizontal LED taillights wrap around the rear, and the H symbol has disappeared in favor of Honda's English lettering, an innovation for the e:N range.
The interior of the e:NS1 is even more radical. In the past, we often criticized Japanese companies for their lack of technology and intelligence, but with this model, that stereotyped thinking is changing. It features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and a more impressive 15.2-inch vertical screen on the center console that includes Honda's CONNECT 3.0 integrated system for smart interaction. Of course, some traditions remain unshakable, such as the push-button gear selector. In addition, the new model will be equipped with a DMC driver status system that supports FaceID and can effectively detect the driver's status for necessary reminders.
As for body dimensions, the length, width and height of the new model is 4390 * 1790 * 1560mm, and the wheelbase is 2610mm. Although the data is not outstanding, it is about the level of the Honda X-RV. Given Honda's outstanding spatial performance, it's safe to say that the e:NS1's space is undeniable.
In terms of power, it is based on the e:N Architecture F platform, which places an electric motor in the front. The e and e+ variants are equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 134 kW and a range of 420 km according to the CLTC standard. The eSport and eMotive versions use an engine with a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, providing a range of 510 km according to the CLTC standard. The batteries are provided by CATL and have a capacity of 53.6 kWh for the first two options and 68.8 kWh for the last two. Suspension is a front McPherson strut and a rear beam.
