Description
The e:NS1, based on the e:Prototype concept car, still retains the recognizable "Honda gene" in its overall outline. But along with these features, e:NS1 also shows many innovations. As an all-electric vehicle, it offers a closed front grille, while the grille and Honda logo are illuminated to create the "Heart beat" function, the international language of signal lights. This not only emphasizes its character as a new energy solution, but also becomes a new symbol for future models of the e:N line.
In terms of exterior color choices, Dongfeng Honda provides the e:NS1 in five finishes: Nebula Blue, Flashy Yellow, Crimson Red, Crystal White and Crystal Black. With the bright colors and positioning as a compact SUV, the e:NS1's target audience is mostly young drivers, so Honda may consider adding a few more additional colors.
As for an SUV, the presence of body kit around the body of the e:NS1 is unavoidable. However, in this model, the style of black glossy plastic is chosen, which adds visual sophistication. The design of multi-plane wheels is complemented by active resonance reduction technology to reduce driving noise and improve travel comfort.
At the rear of the e:NS1, the design is discreet and easy to understand. Horizontal LED taillights wrap around the rear, and the H symbol has been replaced by Honda's English lettering, introducing a new solution for the e:N range.
The interior of the e:NS1 is even more radical. We've often criticized Japanese companies in the past for their lack of technology and intelligence, but this model changes that stereotype. Its equipment includes a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel and an even more impressive 15.2-inch vertical screen on the center console, including the integrated Honda CONNECT 3.0 system for intelligent interaction. Of course, some traditions are preserved, for example, a push-button gear selector. In addition, the new model will be equipped with a DMC driver status system that supports FaceID and is able to effectively detect the driver's status for necessary reminders.
As for body dimensions, the length, width and height of the new model is 4390 * 1790 * 1560mm, and the wheelbase is 2610mm. While these figures are not unique, they are in line with the Honda X-RV. Given Honda's outstanding space performance, it's safe to say that the e:NS1 has impressive space.
In terms of power, it is based on the e:N Architecture F platform, with an electric motor at the front. The e and e+ versions are equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 134 kW and a range of 420 km according to the CLTC standard. The eSport and eMotive versions use an engine with a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, providing a range of 510 km according to the CLTC standard. The batteries are provided by CATL and have a capacity of 53.6 kWh for the first two options and 68.8 kWh for the last two. Suspension is a front McPherson strut and a rear beam.
