Meet the updated Zeekr 001, an electric liftback that was first introduced in April 2021. Now the model is equipped with the most capacious traction battery in its line. Initially, the car was equipped with 86 or 100 kWh batteries, but the latest update impresses with a massive 140 kWh battery. It is worth noting that no other electric car on the market can boast such an impressive capacity.
This liftback is powered by the latest CATL CTP 3.0 Qilin battery, which was first introduced in the summer of 2022. This battery has a more compact layout, with prismatic cells occupying 72% of the internal volume. Unlike older 4680 cylindrical cell batteries which only fill 63% of the volume. Thanks to this, the 140 kWh battery is almost the same size as the existing 100 kWh battery. It is also equipped with an advanced liquid cooling system and has an energy capacity of 255 Wh/kg.
The Zeekr 001 with this top-of-the-range battery is exclusively available in rear wheel drive, which means it has a single 272 hp electric motor. and a torque of 343 Nm. This version of the model is the most long-range electric vehicle of the Chinese brand. According to the developers, it can travel an astounding 1,032 km without recharging. For comparison, a liftback with a 100 kWh battery has a range of 741 km.
The long-range Zeekr 001 comes standard with 19-inch wheels. A sports package is available for an additional fee, which includes 22-inch rims with Brembo brakes and sports seats. This update not only improves the car's performance, but also its appearance, making it an even more attractive option for those looking for a high-performance electric car with a long range.
